About the Author

Hi, I’m Shelly, the creator of Cosmos’ Adventures.

I grew up in a small town in Nova Scotia, Canada, dreaming about all the places in the world I might someday explore. That curiosity eventually took me far from home, and I’ve spent more than a decade living and traveling abroad, experiencing new cultures, trying unfamiliar foods, and discovering just how much there is to learn from the people and places around us.

Those experiences became the inspiration for Cosmos Adventures. I wanted to create the kind of books that would have fascinated me as a kid, stories that make learning about the world feel like an adventure.

Through Cosmos, I hope to encourage kids to stay curious, celebrate what makes cultures unique, and discover that even across different countries, languages, and traditions, we often have more in common than we realize.
